A very common question I get from people learning or wanting to learn the cutting edge online recruiting methods inside the ‘Attraction Marketing Formula’ training, has to do with a concern over being scolded by an upline for “choosing a different path".
For example, I was on a coaching call not long ago and the woman asked how she should deal with her upline who is so entrenched in the old way of thinking, she was so afraid he might be critical and/or disagree with choosing to prospect and recruit online.
And look I get it... In fact I have been with such an upline. (more on this below)
In some cases, you will have leaders who will monitor every move their reps make, watch their stats, review volume and call or email on a daily basis to see who you have prospected recently or showed the plan to.
Now I have to say, I know ‘attraction marketing’ works and once new reps and customers start rolling in for you, your upline will have questions and most likely, be negative about building the business differently than how they did it back in the ’80s or ’90s or even early 2000’s.
And I totally empathize with you, because this is the exact response I received when my upline found out I was using the internet to build my business.
In fact something like this was said ... You would be better off going across the street and talking to your neighbor than wasting time learning that and that I risked losing the team I had, by using online methods which were "unproven".
Everyone wants to know what the “best way” to build their business is.
It’s human nature to move towards methods that are most efficient and bring the fastest and highest results for the least amount of work and most distributors are on a constant search to find the ‘magic system’.
Now as much as I’d like to definitely say that “attraction marketing" is the best way in the world to build a network marketing business,” I can’t. (No, really I mean it!. I can’t.
Because I wouldn’t even be considering the most important component of anyone’s success – YOU!
We all have different strengths, weaknesses and abilities. And all this factors into what will work best for us as individuals.
If your upline built his business a while ago and has had success using old school cold market recruiting methods, (like cold calling or cold prospecting), then as far as they are concerned, those methods are what work the best and are "proven".
Throughout their networking career, these are the methods they feel most comfortable using, most likely, to great effect because they’ve spent years mastering that skill set.
Now if you just started your network marketing business today in 2018, you’re going to need to figure out which methods work best for YOU.
If prospecting friends and family, holding meetings in your home, going to hotel meetings or prospecting strangers isn't your thing, that’s totally cool!
They don’t appeal to me anymore either, but it doesn’t mean that my way works better than someone else’s.
When it comes to being confronted by your upline or upsetting people in your company, I wouldn’t worry about it.
Let them know that you prefer to approach your business using strategies more in line with your interests and strengths.
If they got an issue with it, it’s THEIR problem and if that’s the case, you may want to consider joining an organization that uses and supports the methods you swish to pursue.
(After all, this is a business so make ‘business decisions’ that support your business and the way you want to grow it)
I’ve been in this industry for almost 15 years and I’ve tried to build this business in many different ways… home/hotel meetings, cold market prospecting, prospecting salesman that come to my door, calling up friends & family, driving 5 hrs to get 20 names a day from stalking waitresses and people at the mall, etc.
Now, I’m a very logic oriented person, which means I constantly analyze what was really going on as I tried different methods and learned a ton from everything I tried, even when things didn’t work out.
After a few years of being in this industry, I pretty much made up my mind that I wanted to build a business in a way that reflected the age we were living in.
It made absolutely no sense to me to be operating like a door to door salesman, when I knew wasn't working for me. I needed to take advantage of my strengths and use technology as a major leverage point in my business.
But the cool thing is that I didn’t even invent ‘attraction marketing’. I learned these skills from a MIT graduate that built his first six figure income in network marketing using 'attraction marketing' named Ferny Ceballos.
I decided, “If he could do it, I could do it!”
What he showed me was a way of building that actually turned my networking business into a HOME business (i.e. build while at home) by using the power of the internet.
Some people in this industry have chastised me for doing it a “different” way.
It didn’t matter to me.
All that mattered is that…
a) I made money,
b) I was getting closer to a leveraged income
c) helping others do the same.(duplication)
And here are the results of the last 3 years of using attraction marketing…
a) I have made a multiple six figure income,
b) I have a leveraged income
c) I enrolled 149 people and my team is exploding- helping others do the same with duplication.
But this isn't about me, it is about you. So, Here’s essentially what you need to make attraction marketing work for you, in the same way countless 6-figure and 7-figure earners have learned from this system:
The best target market for me to go after, consists of people who have already said YES to a home business.
In fact, on a daily basis a ton of networkers, across the world voluntarily send me their contact information, showing interest in either my business, my mentorship or both.
This is possible because instead of pitching my opportunity to them, I focus my efforts on solving THEIR problems and addressing their needs.
I never chase people or try to convince people to join my business. Instead, I attract by demonstrating value and leadership through effective marketing.
In fact, in the past 2 months alone, I’ve had over 100 people get a hold of me, wanting to find out what company I am with and how they can work with me.
To my surprise, many of the folks I spoke to, didn’t really know me too well. They just knew they wanted what I had to offer and were just hoping I would help them build their business.
The trick here is to position what you offer as valuable, in a way that no one else does. And I can tell you for certain it’s a lot easier to ask for an enrollment fee, when they are asking you if they can work with you.
I will absolutely not sit on the phone all day, cold calling people and pitch them on my opportunity.Nor will I drive for hours to go prospect.
I have done that... and it is a waste of my time. In fact, I have setup simple websites and automated messenger systems that actually do the selling for me.
The only way I’m going to get on the phone with someone who wants to buy something form me or join my business, is if they are sure they want to get started and maybe have a few clarifying questions. Even then, I still insist on interviewing EVERYONE I would be personally be working with.
Believe it or not, there are a lot of crazies out there. lol.
I don’t focus simply on just building a network marketing or direct sales opportunity, which may or may not be around in 5 years. My focus for the past year has been on building my BRAND or YOU INC, which consist of a community, email list and reputation I can take with me wherever I go.
Fact of the matter, is that I’ve actually been in 3 different business opportunities in the last 15 years, which have come and gone, but now my business income continues to grow at an average rate of 30% every year, and will continue regardless of what company I am with.
That is only possible because of the brand and reputation I cultivated over the past few years. Your network marketing business is just the vehicle, but not your TRUE business.
My email list has become an online distribution channel, which brings stability and growth. It also allows me to build another business or opportunity with the click of a mouse, should something ever happen to my opportunity.
One of the keys to bringing stability to my income was when I accepted the fact that 90% of the people you find anywhere will say “NO” to your products or opportunity.
I found a way to make these people customers in other ways, by providing solutions to their biggest problems and needs, which means I make money either way, even when they say 'no' to my opportunity.
Which honestly is the coolest thing ever!
The very best part of learning how to build your business this way, is instead of having that dreaded feeling.. "ugh, I have to go prospect or make cold calls", your business becomes fun again. You will have loads of people to talk to daily, and that "needing them" to make money "anxiety" goes away.
Your posture grows and your business grows even faster because people will follow those who know where they are going.
These people reach out to you and it is so refreshing!
Master networkers know that their goal is not to build just a downline or home business. It’s to build a business than can serve the needs of an entire industry.
When what you’ve created can influence the direction of an industry, not only can you build a downline, not only can you build a financial legacy… you can be a FORCE other leaders want to attach themselves to.
Now, I’m not saying that what I’ve just outlined is “THE BEST” way to build. All I can share with you is what it has done for me…
Not only did I quit my job…
Not only do I get to build my business from home…
Not only do I wake up and have commission notices everyday...
I haven’t prospected a single stranger or shared my opportunity with a family member in the 3 years.
By focusing on solving problems and adding value to an industry, I attract literally 20 to 50 networkers per day to my database.
I generate between 2 to 5 customers per day…
And about 10 per month decide they want to become serious business builders with my help.

You’re constantly inviting people to take a look at your business—but all too often you’re hearing a resounding, “No!”
…or worse yet, “Let me think about it.”
Kinda discouraging, right?

Hey, we’ve all been there!
Sometimes prospecting can make you feel like you’re spinning your wheels, getting nowhere fast.
But here’s the truth…
The problem with a lot of “traditional” network marketing methods is this:
Most of what’s being taught simply doesn’t work!
In fact, if you’re following the advice of an old, out-of-touch upline, you might very well be…
Luckily, there is a solution.
It’s called the “Reverse Invite Method.”
Every day, somewhere between 15 and 25 people reach out to me to ask exactly what it is that I am doing.
They are, quite literally, inviting themselves to take a look at my business.
My method starts with creating curiosity.
It relies on making yourself so unique people want to reach out to YOU and invite themselves to take a look at whatever it is you’re doing.
So you don’t have to worry about finding and inviting people, because you’ll have a constant, never-ending stream of people reaching out to you.
Now, you’re probably wondering how this works, what platform you use, and if it’s free or paid.
Well, here are the basics…
I use some paid Facebook advertising, but I also use a lot of organic, non-paid stuff as well.
You can use this method on your personal profile, your business or fan page, and in groups.
The Reverse Invite principles are always the same!
It all starts with a post to create curiosity.
There are two types of curiosity posts that work best:
If you’re tight on funds, you can start using organic, free exposure in the News Feed.
But when you pay to boost one of these posts, you’re paying to get in front of a global audience, and that’s when you can start to scale and create leverage.
I personally do Facebook Lives and posts. If you are nervous to do lives, it DOES get easier after your first one!
But you don’t have to do Facebook Lives or any kind of video marketing if you don’t want to. There are other ways to brand yourself.
Whether you’re using a basic post or a Facebook Live, just ask yourself:
“What do people need to know about what I’m promoting to get them to enroll, or to move forward?”
It might be one, two, even three things that people need to know.
Find those things.
Dig deep into whatever PAIN or PROBLEM they’re going through right now.
Maybe you ask them to comment “more info” on your post.
Maybe you ask them to follow a link so they can get more detailed information.
Or maybe you instruct them to message you via Messenger for more information.
That’s how you “reverse” the invite.
You lead people to the point at which they think…
“Yeah, this novel solution sounds like it will eliminate my pain and solve my problem!”
And they will invite themselves.
Now, here’s a question we get often:
And the answer is: absolutely, positively, NO!
That’s the biggest mistake any new networker or affiliate marketer can make.
New marketers think it’s the product that gets people excited.
The truth is, people don’t care about your products!
They don’t have enough information to care about your products.
You have to make them aware they need your products first.
The secret is simple…
It all comes down to finding out what makes YOU, or whatever at you’re selling, unique.
How does your product or service help someone reduce or eliminate whatever pain they’re experiencing right now?
As an example, let’s talk about weight loss.
People are NOT interested in learning how to lose weight.
They already KNOW how to lose weight.
What IS interesting to them is how your product is DIFFERENT from anything else they’ve seen.
What IS interesting is your unique position about your products.
Once you persuade someone to walk through your process until they say, “Yes, I need to talk to you about something,” then you can have the conversation about why they need what you have.
Is this making sense?
You’ll talk about the problems they’re having, you’ll show you understand and can relate to those problems, and then you’ll tell them there’s a solution—WITHOUT giving it away.
You’ll ask them to DO SOMETHING to get the information they want.
In other words, you’ll set it up so that they have to take action and reach out to you to get the info they want.
You create curiosity so they want to learn more.
And the best way to create curiosity is by telling a story.
You’ve probably heard that “facts tell, stories sell.”
People in network marketing hear that all the time, yet few people understand how this really works.
Compelling stories make people WANT to get onboard with whatever you’re doing.
Some network marketers can’t stop themselves from talking on and on and on about how amazing their lives are and how much their lives have changed since they joined their company—and it ANNOYS the heck out of their friends, family, and anybody else who’s subject to it.
So how do you keep from annoying people?
How can you attract people instead of repelling them?
Well, here’s another simple truth…
Your company, whatever system you’re using, did not get you where you are.
So instead of focusing on your product, service or company, you should focus on yourself as a unique individual with a unique story.
Focus on making YOU that unique selling point so that people reach out to you.
It doesn’t matter what company you’re with.
It doesn’t matter what product you promote.
YOU create a bond and develop rapport with people through your story, through your posts, through your Facebook Lives, so your prospects will say…
“I like Sadaf. I want to work with her.”
The bond YOU create with people is going to take you much further with them than your product ever will.
The more authentic you are, the more you focus on bringing service and providing value, you become that servant-leader, and that’s when people come and want to join you. It is honestly that simple.
